Band: Heavy Hands Fighting Hunger
Date: Sunday, Dec. 13, at 12 p.m.
Venue: Langan Park, 4901 Zeigler Blvd.
Tickets: Five donated food items
The holiday season is a time that is not only for giving but also receiving. Delta Swamp Productions has embraced this philosophy and created the inaugural “Heavy Hands Fighting Hunger” food drive. For five donated food items, attendees will experience three of Mobile’s most popular bands from the local metal scene.
With two songs featured on the soundtrack of the horror movie “Condemned,” Excessum’s furious sounds have breached the city limits. The crowd can expect these two tracks as well as a tidal wave of its homegrown metal. D.R.E.A.D. has spent the past couple of years bringing its Azalea City metal sound to the nation and now is guaranteed to whip the philanthropic crowd at Langan Park into a mosh pit. Curse the Flesh, a five-piece specializing in “blackened melodic death metal,” will complete this metallic triumvirate.
While Heavy Hands Fighting Hunger will accept numerous types of food, they will not accept bent or unlabeled cans, perishable items, homemade items, noncommercial canned or packaged food, alcoholic beverages or items that have been opened or used.
