The Gulf Coast is on the cusp of spring, the perfect time for a trip to Blue Moon Farm for a Sunday afternoon jam session outside at The Frog Pond. In addition to out-of-town guests, this afternoon performance will feature resident artists Grayson Capps and Corky Hughes, who will be working overtime on a variety of instruments.

Anthony Crawford will be stopping by to provide his talents, bringing along Edward David Anderson, who appears to be quickly earning local recognition. Anderson recently entered Crawford’s Admiral Bean Studios to lay down tracks for his latest effort, “Lower Alabama: The Loxley Sessions.”

Lightnin’ Malcolm will be this week’s guest. Malcolm has spent a good part of his life studying the sounds and culture of Hill Country Blues. When not on the road, he spends most of his time in North Mississippi playing in the area’s extensive lineup of juke joints. Filled with an abundance of soul, Malcolm’s hypnotic blues takes his audiences on a virtual tour of the Mississippi Hill Country.
