Banditos began building a local following at the Coastline Chronicles regional music event, which evolved into SouthSounds, and have remained one of its regularly featured artists. With each performance, Banditos have continued to expand their SouthSounds following.
Crowds fall in love with the band’s thrilling sonic melange of psychedelic rock, country, folk, rock and whatever else it takes to snare listeners, accenting their infectious sound with an unforgettable live show.
Last month, Banditos returned to South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin for what vocalist Mary Beth Richardson said was the band’s most relaxing visit yet. She said the band only had four performances during SXSW 2019, but those four shows weren’t in vain: Rolling Stone magazine took notice and named them one of the “Best 30 Artists” witnessed at the annual showcase.
Richardson said the band is working on its follow-up to the 2017 album “Visionland.” She added fans can expect more of that eclectic Banditos sound they’ve grown to love at some point in the future.
