The Mobile AeroFest today announced the first slate of musical acts and the Titan FC Championship fight card that will be taking place at the inaugural event at the Brookley Aeroplex, March 20-21, 2015.
The musical acts will join actor/musician Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band and be accompanied by a variety of events including Hero Games, an Independence Ride and many more programs and activities. Tickets are on sale now. AeroFest will be announcing additional acts and events in the coming weeks.
The musical acts announced today include: Big & Rich, Matisyahu, Dawes, Cowboy Troy, Robert Randolph and the Family Band, Lee Fields and the Expressions, Dumpstaphunk, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Zoogma, Lost Bayou Ramblers, Jacques Greene, Gary Sinise & the Lt. Dan Band, The Whigs, Soul Rebel, Rosco Bandana, Honey Island Swamp Band, Matthew Curry, Futurebirds, The Heard, Steve Gunn, Generationals, 88 Ultra (Kingston of BSBD), Lee Bains III & The Glory Fires, Ryley Walker, Nick and the Ovorols, Horse Thief, Redinho.
“We are thrilled to announce the first slate of musical acts that will be featured at the inaugural AeroFest this March 20 and 21 — this great array of talent will draw festival goers from around the nation and entertain our most special guests — our injured service members,” said Dave Glassman, AeroFest Founder. “Combined with the spectrum of athletic, career development, culinary and art events taking place at AeroFest these musicians will help us make history at the Mobile Aeroplex this spring.”
Mobile AeroFest today also joined with Titan FC in announcing 14 MMA bouts, including four Title bouts, (4th bout announced at later date) to take place at the Mobile Aeroplex. The fights will be nationally televised on CBS SPORTS to 93 million homes and will be the first nationally televised MMA event in Alabama since the formation of the Alabama Athletic Commission. The event will also be unprecedented by presenting four sanctioned MMA title fights on the same card.
The championship fight card includes:
Heavyweights: John Madsen (8-1) vs. Chase Gormley (11-4)
Featherweights: Desmond Green (14-3) vs. Kurt Holobaugh (13-2)
Bantamweights: Walel Watson (13-7) vs. Brett Johns (10-0)
“Mobile AeroFest is a very special event that will be bringing the Gulf Coast Community together for our nation’s veterans — as such we wanted to put forth our most compelling fight card Titan to date,” said Titan FC COO, Lex McMahon. “The Gulf Coast is MMA Country — and we are confident that the AeroFest title fights will have a full house.”
Tickets are now on sale at www.aerofest.org at $30 per day and $45 for the weekend. Five thousand tickets will also be awarded at no charge to disabled veterans and their caregivers and family.
Mobile AeroFest is a multifaceted annual festival to take place at the Mobile Aeroplex on March 20 – 21 2015. The Festival’s mission is to actively improve the lives of America’s injured warriors through a confluence of talent, vision and technology that has never been seen before in the production of a live event.
