Even though cooler weather has sent The Amphitheater at The Wharf into hibernation, The Port will be bringing more country sounds to the entertainment district. From a guitar-shaped bar to a luxurious VIP area, The Port is The Wharf’s elegant space dedicated to providing unforgettable events.
Now, country singer-songwriter Kip Moore will be bringing his “How High” tour to The Port. Moore is on tour in support of his latest album, “Wild World.” For this appropriately titled album, Moore found inspiration in traveling the globe. As he visited locales in South America, Australia and Europe, he used self-reflection to collect the 17 tracks featured on “Wild World.” Throughout this release, Moore skips across pop and traditional country styles with honest lyrical work taking the lead. The passion and energy contained in these tracks should make for a memorable live show.
Jordan Fletcher will be joining Moore in Orange Beach. Hailing from Jacksonville, Fla., Fletcher has been making the rounds in Nashville with his mix of rock and country. With an upcoming full-length scheduled for release on the Triple Tigers label, Fletcher has gathered his following with a number of singles and EPs. Judging from his latest release, “Rather Be Broke,” Fletcher’s intricate acoustic work and lavish vocals are reminiscent of Jack Johnson but with a defined country edge. For those who have not sampled his music, Fletcher is sure to be a hit with country fans along the Gulf Coast.
