Happy Fourth of July everyone! And Happy Birthday, ‘Merica! I can’t wait for some barbecue, hot dogs, homemade ice cream and watermelon. It’s what America is mostly about: food. But it’s also about dishing out gossip and putting a cherry on top of it. And that is more American than apple pie, my gossip-lovin’, little patriots, so sit back, relax and enjoy this piece of Americana.
YOU SAY IT WAS KANYE
Yes, it’s true. Kanye West, the rapper, producer, fashion designer, mogul, instigator, Trump pal and third husband of Kim Kardashian was spotted in Mobile last weekend. We know he stopped by Moe’s Original Bar B Que downtown and we hear he was in the area because his aunt, who lived in McIntosh (just north of here, on Highway 43) recently passed. Numerous photos of the star and various locals appeared on social media.
Who knew Kanye had a connection to ’Bama? This is the first I have heard of it. But he’s crazy enough, so it makes sense! We’ll claim him.
“KINDERGARTEN COP” STAR BACK IN THE SLAMMER
Things are not looking up for former “Kindergarten Cop” star and Mobile native Richard Tyson. Last week, we reported he had been arrested on a charge of public intoxication and harassment. On July 1, he was arrested again on a burglary charge.
The actor also starred in the television show “Hardball” and in the soft porn “Two Moon Junction.” After returning to Mobile, he made appearances in local films and was a spokesperson for the Mobile County Animal Shelter.
BOLO THIS HOLIDAY
So a spy sent me a photo of a “vehicle” that has been spotted around Orange Beach. It appears to be a Chris-Craft boat sitting on top of some sort of automobile. No word on if it can tackle land AND sea, but it looks pretty damn cool. I want a ride!
Well kids, that’s all I have this week. I am sure I will have plenty of scoop next issue from this festive weekend. Remember to be safe, wear sunscreen, no Roman candle fights and don’t engage in any activity that starts with, “Hold my beer…”
And just remember whether rain or shine, dramatic or scandalous or some plain ol’ Kanye lovin’, I will be there. Ciao!
