There’s a wealth of American artistic tendencies expressed in mediums of textile and string. They tie together not just artists and fans but families, communities and generations. Now you can get started in that direction yourself with a little gumption and a lot of practice.
The Mobile Public Library has enlisted Ms. Wilhemina Davis to get you started on the road to embroidery, quilting and sewing.
Participants need to bring their own supplies. What’s recommended are size 10, 10-inch long needles and a 7 oz. skein of regular, worsted weight yarn.
The class is free but registration is encouraged. Please call 251-340-8571 or go to www.mplonline.org.
