The People’s Room of Mobile will be bringing two prolific singer-songwriters to its intimate confines for a one-night-only event that should not be missed. The evening will begin with a performance from Skate Mountain recording artist Abe Partridge. Since the release of his first album “White Trash Lipstick,” Partridge has won over the masses with a mix of honest lyrics and raw delivery that has been compared to Tom Waits.
After signing with Skate Mountain, he released his sophomore effort “Cotton Fields and Blood for Days,” which earned acclaim from both the critics and his listeners. Partridge spent 2019 touring around Europe and promoting his art, while leaving fans hungry for his next release.
Kevn Kinney will be making his debut at The People’s Room of Mobile. Kinney is best known as the front man for the legendary rock & roll outfit Drivin’ N Cryin’. However, his solo career has proven to be just as impressive. Albums such as 2012’s “A Good Country Mile” showcase Kinney’s honest, unmistakable Southern rock sound that could only come from Georgia. Whether with Drivin’ N Cryin’ or as a solo artist, Kinney has spent years as a regular visitor to the Azalea City. However, this performance might be his most intimate local performance to date and a must for Drivin’ N Cryin’ fans.
