This will be a perfect St. Paddy’s pre-party for the Azalea City. At 18, Kristy Lee exploded out of Alabama with a roaring blast of soulful, homegrown songs.

The nation was instantly introduced through the distribution of her debut “Lifescapes” through Target. Lee also caught the ears of Zac Brown and John Hopkins of Zac Brown Band, who co-produced her in the studio. When Lee hits the Soul Kitchen stage, she will be fresh from touring with G. Love & Special Sauce as the opener.

Lee will be showcasing songs off her latest album “Raise the Dead.” This album boasts 12 tracks of soulful, Southern-fried glory. “Raise the Dead” shows the musical versatility of Kristy Lee. She trips spontaneously across the musical spectrum.

“Hey Crazy” takes on the steady strum of a traditional singer-songwriter. Songs such as this are instantly balanced by tracks such as “12 Steps,” which is a neo-soul masterpiece laced with acoustic sensibility.
