The latest installment of Mobile Opera’s Opera 101 series is taking strides to open the enrichment available to Mobilians through art. It doesn’t hurt that it also helps discuss the upcoming productions from the company itself.
In preparation for the March 27 and March 28 staging of Puccini’s “Manon Lescaut” at the Mobile Civic Center Theater, Mobile Opera Artistic Director Andy Anderson will guide souls through some background. Wednesday, March 4 at noon, interested parties are invited to bring a lunch to the Larkins Music Center at 257 Dauphin St. and join the informal gathering for novices and experts alike.
Admission and participation is free. If you miss this opportunity, others will take place for the following two Wednesdays, March 11 and March 18.
