Date: Friday, Feb. 14 at 7 p.m.
Venue: Fairhope Brewing Company, 914 Nichols Ave., fairhopebrewing.com
Tickets: $10 at the door
Fairhope Brewing Company is forgoing the white tablecloths, truffles and roses for a spooktacular Second Halloween celebration. As far as food is concerned, Fairhope Brewing has recruited The Good Guys food truck to cover dinner. This craft brewery will also be debuting a chocolate and cherry stout called Candyman. And Second Halloween will feature a costume contest with a number of prize packs for the best dressed.
When picking the musical entertainment for Second Halloween, Fairhope Brewing looked toward the Big Easy. Since making its debut at Fairhope Brewing, New Orleans new-school funk outfit Flow Tribe has remained a favorite with patrons. The band’s newly released single, “Rub a Little Dirt (In Your Heart),” shows Flow Tribe getting out of its sonic comfort zone. This upbeat tune is taken straight out the smokey confines of a honky-tonk. Even though this is not the band’s typical sound, Flow Tribe maintains the aural energy that permeates throughout all of its songs.
