A Houston Street man was arrested and charged with murder today after Mobile Police discovered he misled their investigation.
Police said 45-year-old Joseph Hunt Booth, Jr. knew 23-year-old Antonio Crawford when he shot him Sunday afternoon on the 50 block of Houston Street. The incident was initially reported as a home invasion, but an investigation revealed that Booth tampered with or supplied evidence on the scene in efforts to mislead investigator, MPD spokeswoman Ashley Rains wrote in a statement.
The initial investigation revealed Crawford was armed and was attempting to make entry into the home.
