It seems like some old Callaghan’s favorites are making their way back to the Oakleigh Garden District. Last week, The Smart Brothers made their triumphant return. Now, Miss Tess is bringing her nostalgic sounds back to Callaghan’s with her band the Talkbacks. The Brooklyn-based musician has spent her career giving vintage sounds a modern interpretation. She infuses her music with everything from New Orleans jazz to country swing, and her crowds beg for more with each memorable performance.
Miss Tess & the Talkbacks will be entertaining the Callaghan’s crowd with cuts from her latest release “The Love I Have for You.” This self-produced album was recorded and mixed by Devin Greenwood (Norah Jones, Amos Lee). This seven-song album is her tribute to some of the greats who have inspired her sound. The album includes songs from Willie Nelson, Randy Newman, Bonnie Raitt, Hank Williams, Sr., Neil Young and Ted Hawkins. If experience is anything, then the crowd can expect high times with Miss Tess.
