We usually think of comic books in association with major cities, most of all New York City and its various incarnations such as Metropolis and Gotham. That said, the creators of comics are everywhere, including the Gulf Coast.
Inverse Press is a comics publisher created by Alabamians Kevin LaPorte and Amanda Rachels. In this exhibit, they share finished works as well as behind-the-scenes and in-process materials. Visitors can learn how a script and a simple sketch evolve into irresistible comics.
An opening reception will be held during the July 11 LoDa Artwalk.
