Mobile County Animal Shelter offering free pet adoptions

Posted by Lagniappe | Oct 22, 2014 | News | 0 |

Starting today, the public can pre-qualify to adopt Mobile County Animal Shelter dogs and cats, one year or older, for free. There are more than three dozen animals available for adoption. Additionally, puppies and kittens are available for half price.

Adoptions

To pick out a pet and fill out a form to pre-qualify for the adoption, please visit the shelter located at 7665 Howells Ferry Road.

Pets will be available to take home at a special adoption event at the shelter set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday, Oct. 25. Usually, adoption costs range from $30 to $80, depending on whether the animal is spayed and neutered and whether it is a dog or cat. The cost helps pay for spaying and neutering, a rabies shot, a 5-in-1 vaccination and a de-worming.

For more information, please contact the Mobile County Animal Shelter at 251.574.DOGS (3647) or take a look at our animals at www.mobilecountyanimals.com.

This page is available to subscribers. Click here to sign in or get access. During the month of December, give (or get) a one year subscription with TWO months FREE.
