John Delchamps, Associate Broker with Merrill P. Thomas Company Inc., recently sold 20 acres of bank-owned property located at 19578 County Road 20 in Foley for $215,000 to an investor. Delchamps represented the seller and Joel Steen Real Estate & Development represented the buyer.

Also in Baldwin County, Delchamps leased an 800-square-foot office space at 30041 Highway 59 in Loxley to Quality Iron for a regional sales office. In Mobile, Delchamps sold a 3,200-square-foot commercial building at 501 Mill St. for $50,000.

Pratt Thomas with Merrill P. Thomas Company represented the Family Dollar Store franchise in the purchase of two-thirds of an acre of commercial property located at North Broad Street and Lyons Street. Family Dollar plans to begin construction on a new store soon. Family Dollar paid $255,000 for the land. According to Thomas, an old convenience store currently sits on the site.

Papa Murphy’s Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza leased 1,235-square-feet of store space at 27955 Hwy 98 in the Magnolia Place Shopping Center in Daphne. The eatery will open its doors in the fall. Angela McArthur of Prudential Cooper and Company, Inc. Commercial Division represented the tenant. David Dexter of White-Spunner Realty, Inc. represented the owner.

Deep South Vape, an electronic cigarette retailer, leased 1,200-square-feet of retail space at 5300 Halls Mill Road, Suite H, in Mobile and is slated to open in October. Angela McArthur of Prudential Cooper and Company, Inc. Commercial Division handled the transaction.

According to the owners, Rice Asian Grill & Sushi Bar located at 3964 Government Blvd. (Skyland Shopping Center) is opening in October. The 2,600-square-foot location was formerly known as Purple Café. The new restaurant will serve Thai cuisine, sushi, beer and wine.
