On Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 2, the Mobile Police Department released a statement acknowledging one of its officers was arrested and charged with third-degree domestic violence.According to the MPD’s statement, Officer David Jones surrendered to authorities at the Mobile County Metro Jail after allegations of domestic violence were made against him by the mother of his 16-year-old stepson.
No details were included in the statement from police, which was sent to local media outlets a few hours after Jones was released from police custody.
