MPD seek suspects in snatch-and-grab robbery

Posted by Alyson Stokes | Jul 15, 2014 | News | 0 |

Mobile Police are currently investigating a robbery of an individual at the Exxon gas station located at 420 N. Water St.

According to a July 15 press release, officials say officers responded to the report of robbery on Saturday, July 5, at approximately 12:08 a.m., when a male victim stated a group of unknown juvenile subjects approached him in the parking lot and asked him for money.

After taking out his wallet, the victim said one of the subjects grabbed the wallet, along with his cell phone, and ran away.

The victim attempted to chase the subject but was then attacked by other members of the group. Police say the victim was transported to a local hospital for minor injuries.

MPD seeks the help of the public to identify these suspects.
