Those looking for a musical intermission before the madness of Joe Cain Day should make the drive to TexarBama Barbecue in Fairhope for an evening with two of the Azalea City music scene’s most notable guitarists. Ricky Chancey will be coming home to collaborate with bluesman “Ghost Man” Ric McNaughton. The raw talent of these musicians combined with TexarBama’s cozy environment will be a nice pit stop before the Shadow Barons roll in Daphne.
Chancey has established a rich and impressive musical legacy in the local scene and beyond. In addition to his guitar work with his group R.C. & The Moonpie Band, Chancey has lent his multi-instrumental talent to Wet Willie. This guitarist is nationally known for his extensive work with Hank Williams Jr.
McNaughton is the front man/lead guitarist for his namesake band. For years, McNaughton has been a constant in the local blues scene. From Delta to Hill Country, McNaughton’s passion for his art can be witnessed throughout every run across the strings.
