Mobile Museum of Art’s Muse Music series continues with Brooklyn-by-way-of-Birmingham visual and musical artist Omari Jazz. According to a press release, his music “explores the line between composition and performances, and the relationship between sight and sound, harmony and dissonance. Looping layers of drums and samples, his music influences include hip-hop, early 1970s-era rock ‘n’ roll and soul music.”
This performance series is geared toward those who want to focus on music apart from the “hectic, grabby, gabby bar scene” in order to concentrate on the art.
Doors open at 7 p.m.
There is a $10 suggested donation. Beer and wine will be available by donation.
