After an investigation by the Mobile Police Department’s Narcotics and Vice Unit, three people are in jail and officers seized marijuana, hashish, controlled substances, guns and $37,600 in cash from drug related transactions.
Police arrested William Reed III, 21, and Anh Nguyen, 23, and charged them with possession of marijuana first degree. John Nguyen, 17, was also arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, use/possession of drug paraphernalia, trafficking marijuana and carrying a pistol without a permit.
Public Information Officer Ashley Rains said the arrests came as a result of an investigation on Jan. 8 and 9.
“After several search warrants, detectives were able to seize seven pounds of high-grade marijuana, 13 grams of powder steroids, two vials of liquid steroids, approximately 142 grams of hashish, 12 Xanax pills, 298 grams of codeine syrup, various guns, a 2000 Honda S-2000 and over $37,600 in currency from drug-related transactions,” she said in a release.
Reed will have his first court appearance on Jan. 23. Court dates have not been set for the other suspects at this tim
