Our condolences

Posted by Lagniappe | Dec 31, 2019 | Letters to the Editor | 0 |

Dear Miss Ashley (Trice):

Sooooooo very sorry to read about the loss of your darling Mattie (Hidden Agenda 12/18/19).

My wife and I lost our beloved Charlie last summer and still cry our eyes out when the conversation takes us there.

That happens more frequently for us these days because we have been blessed with the presence of a new family member, Leo.  We call him Lucky Leo because it is his good fortune to have joined our family after Charlie’s transition. While we know Leo is his own dog (GOD spelled backwards), we have our fun telling him that “Charlie never behaved that way”.

If you Google A DOG’S LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT,  you may find the strength it takes to go out and find a new family member to enjoy the love yous guys have to offer.

I know Mattie is watching and waiting to find out who is the next lucky dog in your lives!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
