Even if the weather is cooler (on some days), Big Beach Brewing Company continues to fill the weekend with equal parts of craft brews and local music.
Electric Blue Yonder will be providing Big Beach patrons with a soundtrack to their beer tastings. Hailing from Birmingham, this group specializes in “space folk.” According to the band’s website, this blend of “folksy roots and rock elements with soaring harmonies and an atmosphere of psychedelia” comes from the combined creative efforts of Johnny and Beth Veres.
Over the past year, Electric Blue Yonder has released several singles filled with their unique sound. With its steady guitar and doubled harmonies, “False Prophets” is The Civil Wars meets the Grateful Dead. “Children of the Sun,” which clocks in at nine minutes long, and “Bluster” maintain the group’s characteristic delivery of easy, Southern-fried sounds with harmonies taking the forefront.
