Mayor Sandy Stimpson today appointed Kim Pettway to the Board of Commissioners of the Mobile Housing Authority.
“I have no doubt that Kim will excel as a leader on the Mobile Housing Authority,” Stimpson said. “She brings a spirit of service to this important board and I’m sure she will fulfill her duties with diligence and integrity.”
Pettway replaces MHB Chairman Clarence Ball, whose term expired at the end of August.
The City Wide Residents’ Council of the Mobile Housing Board also voted to recommend Pettway as the next commissioner of the Mobile Housing Board of Commissioners.
Pettway recently served as a commissioner on the Mobile Area Water and Sewer System Board and currently serves on the Mobile Chamber of Commerce Board of Advisors and the League of Women Voters Board of Directors.
Her term is effective immediately.
Updated at 4:39 p.m. to clarify that Pettway is not a resident of Mobile Housing Board property.
