Acapella powerhouse Pentatonix will be stopping at The Wharf Amphitheater on the group’s world tour. After a successful run on the NBC vocal talent competition “The Sing-Off,” this quartet used its mix of pitch-perfect harmonies and rhythmic beatboxing to gather thousands of fans around the globe.
Followers have fallen in love with Pentatonix’s ability to reimagine popular songs with a new context through the group’s impeccable acapella treatments. They have also released a number of original songs that are modern-pop masterpieces fueled by the group’s vocal expertise. The group’s vocally pure approach to music has earned them three Grammy Awards and several platinum albums.
Rachel Platten will be joining Pentatonix in Orange Beach. Platten walks a tight line between the worlds of pop and indie pop, which can be witnessed on her latest album, “Waves.” “Waves” features Platten’s sugary, intricate vocals and gentle ripples of electrified tones and beats. Her set should be the perfect warm-up for Pentatonix’s headlining performance.
