Police catch carjacking trio after foot chase

In the early hours of Friday morning, a carjacking was reported in 4200 block of Moffett Road in Mobile. A victim told police three unknown males armed with handguns demanded his vehicle and left the area.

Later in the morning, officers with the Mobile Police Department spotted a vehicle matching the description of a 1999 Nissan Sentra in the area of Duval Street at Dauphin Island Parkway.

Kenyon Stewart, 23, was arrested in connection to an armed carjacking in Mobile Sept.25.

After a brief pursuit, the three subjects bailed from the vehicle in the area of Senator at Clarke Street, but officers continue the pursuit on foot. Eventually, all three were apprehended and charged with various crimes.

Emanuel McAlpine, 18, was arrested in connection to an armed carjacking in Mobile Sept.25.

Quintin Johnson, 20, and Kenyon Stewart, 23, were both charged with first-degree robbery while 18-year-old Emanuel McAlpine was only charged with attempting to elude police and failure to obey an officer.

According to Mobile Metro Jail Records, Johnson and Stewart both have previous criminal records in Mobile County, but McAlpine does not. All three suspects currently remain in police custody.
