Due to recent burglaries at Phillips Preparatory School the Mobile Police Department has been conducting routine patrols of the area. On Tuesday morning, a man was caught inside the school, which is currently under construction.On Sept. 29, at approximately 1:30 a.m., officers observed Labarron Katone Watkins inside the school and gave chase on foot.
After Watkins was apprehended he was charged with third-degree burglary and taken to the Mobile Metro Jail.
According to jail records, Watkins has a criminal history in Mobile County that includes former drug and assault charges.
