Mobile County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating what they believe to be a murder-suicide reported in the Wilmer area Monday evening.
According to Sgt. Joe Mahoney, officers responded to a home on Cuss Fork Road sometime around 9 p.m., Oct. 3, after receiving a call in reference to a “subject threatening suicide.” It’s unclear at this time exactly who notified police.
At the scene, deputies found the body of 52-year-old Robert Roberson on a sofa in the living room. Police say Roberson was suffering from what appeared to be a “self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head” and had already succumbed to his injuries upon their arrival.
In the same living room, deputies located the body of 33-year-old Angela Evans, 6/29/83, who police say was found deceased in the floor from an apparent gunshot. According to Mahoney, no additional information is being made available at this time.
The nature of Evans’ and Roberson’relationship also remains unclear.
