Quietly nestled in the heart of LoDa, Portal Studio has quickly grown into an epicenter of local art. They have also built a reputation for providing the backstage for events such as the SouthSounds Music Festival and the Run Your Stache Off After Party. In addition to showcasing local artists, Portal Studio has also been influential in bringing avant garde sounds to their room.

The studio’s love for art and music will reach an apex with their Psychosolstice event. Not only will this event feature the work of local artists such as Devlin Wilson and Jillian Crochet, as well as “the Psyche Market,” but it will also feature numerous musical acts.

The evening will begin at dark with a drum circle and fire performances. Electric Sheep is scheduled to perform at Psychosolstice. This project is the sonic child of David McClay from the defunct local powerhouse 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Cameron Zion & the Wanderers and singer-songwriter Leland Clay will also share their homegrown sounds with the crowd. Ian Taylor rounds out this artistic mix with his fresh solo material. Of course, the Portal Improv Noise collective will be on hand with a psychedelic assault.
