Neighborly New Orleans band The Revivalists have made the Azalea City one of its regular stops. The band’s jazzy style of rock quickly earned it throngs of local fans who tend to pack the house whenever they perform here. So it came as no surprise when the band announced the location to release its newest studio effort, “Men Amongst Mountains.” The Revivalists will join local fans at O’Daly’s Irish Pub on Friday, July 31 to celebrate the release, which actually hit the streets July 17.

O’Daly’s will host The Revivalists for the release of their new album “Men Amongst Mountains.”

In a recent press release, “Men Amongst Mountains” was described as an album focused on growth. The Revivalists traveled to Bogalusa, Louisiana, to record at Studio in the Country, a process that took two weeks. “In an effort to induce a more performance-based sensibility,” the band chose to lay down tracks  for the album on tape.
New Orleans’ Esplanade and Living Room studios then polished them up. The press release went on to describe the album as the “next step in The Revivalists’ ever-evolving depth and maturity.”
Tickets are on sale now at O’Daly’s and through Huka Entertainment’s website.

Rollin’ on the river
The Flora-Bama in Gulf Shores has evolved from a musically-inspired roadhouse into a major complex spanning both sides of Gulf Beach Highway. With the recent opening of the Ole River Bar on the north side of the road, opposite the beach, the crown jewel of the Redneck Riviera is giving patrons a chance to “do it on the line” in a different way.

Customers now will be able to dine on local seafood while enjoying musical entertainment on the stage situated between The Flora-Bama Yacht Club and the Ole River Bar. With warm weather marking the height of the summer, fans of the Flora-Bama should have plenty of time to experience the Ole River Bar.

No strings attached
