Band: Rodeo Weekend Music & Arts Festival
Date: July 14-17
Venue: Venues across Dauphin Island
Tickets: Free on main stage; cover charge at some participating venues
The Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo soon will be celebrating 83 years of bringing saltwater anglers and aquatic enthusiasts to South Mobile County. After the poles are rinsed and the fish weighed, the Rodeo Weekend Music & Arts Festival begins. The festival will provide free entertainment on the rodeo main stage, along with other venues across Dauphin Island.
The main stage will feature local and regional favorites including The Mulligan Brothers, who are fresh from opening for the Charlie Daniels Band. Country up-and-comer Dylan Scott will begin his tour at the festival with a set featuring cuts from his album “Stripped, Vol. 1.” Ryan Balthrop and friends will entertain with new sounds from his latest effort, “Fall Together.” Eric Erdman will have a batch of originals for his loyal fans, and Paw Paw’s Medicine Cabinet will showcase a funky folk style that’s made them an instant hit on the local scene. Winston Ramble, Brandon White and Delta Smoke are also scheduled.
Venues such as Pirates Bar & Grill (100 Orleans Drive) and Fins Bar (1600 Bienville Blvd.) will be featuring their own lineups including The Modern Eldorados, Holli Mosely, Stereo Dogs, Infant Richard & the Delta Stones, Nanfalia and Tim Kinsey.
