Of all the natural resources in the area, the Azalea City’s bodies of water are among the most beautiful and important, especially Dog River. Dog River Clearwater Revival is an organization dedicated to improving the conditions of Dog River and drawing attention to this part of Mobile County. From testing water quality to removing derelict vessels, the organization has successfully completed many projects.
With all proceeds benefiting this ecological mission, the 2nd annual Mud Bottom Revival Music Festival is an opportunity for the public to get involved. All are invited to bring lawn chairs, pack a picnic and enjoy local live music. Smokin’ Gringos food truck and Cammie’s Old Dutch Ice Cream also will have food available for purchase.
Performers include The Lizards, Paw Paw’s Medicine Cabinet and headliners Willie Sugarcapps, who will surely include their bluesy ode to Dog River, “Mud Bottom,” in their setlist.
Attendees can choose to arrive in style on a party barge that will cruise from the Mariner Restaurant to The Dog Pond. Contact the restaurant for more info.
