O’Daly’s has quickly become LoDa’s premiere spot to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. The pub’s celebration of Ireland’s patron saint begins at 4 p.m. with the Green Dress Run, a 5K inviting runners to don green dresses and take on a course through downtown and midtown. After the last runner crosses the line, all in attendance will get to enjoy gallons of green brew and a triple-shot of quality entertainment.
Infant Richard & the Delta Stones will begin the evening’s entertainment. This collective of talented local musician has a plethora of jams for the green-clad crowd. Their brand of alt. rock comes in many styles. Jammed out numbers such as “Chattanooga Chocolate Factory” are joined by eclectic soul tracks like “Heavy,” both of which are found on the band’s “VD” EP.
Fly-By Radio has collected a legion of Azalea City fans with their jukebox band vibes. Their song list transcends the decades with party hits from the ‘50s to modern day. A Hank Williams, Jr. hit may be followed by one of Guns N’ Roses’ memorable track.
O’Daly’s will get the phunk out to end the evening. From their first performance in Mobile, locals have loved NoLa supergroup Dumpstaphunk. Crescent City music icon Ivan Neville fronts a band with some of the nastiest funk jams in existence.
