Hangout Fest is finally here. In one week, a multitude of music lovers will fill the beach in front of the festival’s namesake institution for a weekend of fun, sun and music. Those planning on attending are busy compiling schedules, making travel plans and trying to contain their excitement.
Hangout Fest weekenders should remember that shuttle passes are still available. This ticket to ride will provide “a comfortable ride to and from local condos and hotels to and from the festival each day.” After a day of jamming in the sun, a ride home will be much more appealing than walking.
Lagniappe has chosen Major Lazer as the last “Hangout Fest Spotlight” for 2015. Major Lazer is an impressive electronic dance music project created in part by modern electronic guru Diplo. In addition to its mix of trap and dancehall, Major Lazer’s stage show is truly one of a kind. As disc jockeys mix-up and mash-up beats, the Major Lazer animated experience showers the crowd with a wave of eye candy that will have attendees talking until Hangout Fest 2016.
Tickets for the festival and the Thursday night pre-party are on sale now at the Hangout Fest website, and VIP and travel packages are still available. However, the Beach Club travel package option is sold out. While the pre-party is a separate, ticketed event for those with general admission passes, it’s included with VIP passes.
