This third play of the 2014 season has a pair of parents as Neil Simon took short stories by Anton Chekhov and blended them together into this Tony Award-winning “play with music.” Since its successful start 40 years back, it’s also been a television movie and played stages abroad.
The play opens with a blocked writer who introduces the audience to various characters such as an overzealous but unseasoned dentist, an actress unsteady about an audition, a father taking his son to a house of ill repute and a theater patron with an voluminous sneeze, in every respect.
Evening showtimes are 8 p.m.. Sunday matinees are at 2:30 p.m.
Tickets are $18, $12 for students.
