The son of woman found dead in Tricentennial Park yesterday morning is now a suspect in her murder — the only crime 18-year-old Kenjarvious Willis has ever been charged with.
Police say they were considering Willis as a suspect from the time the body of his mother, 51-year-old Annie Gaines-Willis, was discovered around 9:20 a.m. on Wednesday morning.Police said they discovered her body wrapped in blankets with an apparent gunshot wound along the banks of Three Mile Creek in the park.
Detectives located and interviewed Willis concerning this incident. From that interview, authorities determined Willis allegedly shot the victim during a domestic dispute. He was then arrested on Wednesday evening and charged with murder.
According to police records, Wills is still being held in the Mobile County Metro Jail.
