The Amphitheater at The Wharf is celebrating the start of the beach season with The Soundtrack of Summer Tour. This tour will bring together a select group of ‘70s rockers to perform before the sun-soaked masses.
Don Felder will open the show. Felder was the lead guitarist for The Eagles from 1974-1980. He reunited with the band in 1994 and performed with The Eagles until 2000. Felder can be credited with writing the musical portion of the hit “Hotel California.” Felder is touring in support of the re-release of his 1983 sophomore effort “Road to Forever.”
Styx features Alabamian Tommy Shaw in its line-up. This group was responsible for bringing elements of ‘70s prog rock out of the underground. For 40 years, Styx’s music has received steady rotation on airwaves nationwide. They have earned numerous platinum albums, which have spawned a plethora of hits.
Foreigner rounds out this mix of nostalgic sounds. This group boasts 10 multiplatinum albums and sixteen top 30 hits that include “Dirty White Boy,” “Head Games” and “Juke Box Hero.”
