Georgia has always been a hotbed for fresh rock sounds, and The Pinx is no exception.
This group is bringing a batch of peachy rock ’n’ roll from the mean streets of Atlanta to Downtown Mobile. Their sound falls somewhere between Lynyrd Skynyrd and MC5 with the occasional dash of classic Georgia rock sounds. If The Pinx’s live show is anything like the group’s studio albums, then The Merry Widow is in for a rowdy night. The Pinx are bringing the perfect musical accent for Mardi Gras 2020.
“Sisters & Brothers” is the latest album from The Pinx. With its roots-rocking, Southern fried swagger, “Mercy!” is the first dimension of their sound. The following track, “Get Up!” ascends into a new adrenalized version of Southeastern jam. “All Over Now” taps into Georgia’s classic alt. rock era. Overall, “Sisters & Brothers” is an innovative piece of sonic goodness from the heart of the South.
