The proposed soccer complex is what is needed in Mobile with one exception. Instead of soccer fields, the county should build tournament quality baseball and softball fields. Mobile is not aware of how much money is spent on travel baseball and softball. Every weekend there is a tournament in either Gulfport and or Baldwin County. With the new shopping centers being built I think several hundred out-of-town people attending ballgames all weekend would be good for them. I’m not from Mobile and in my opinion this town is poorly run. It seems all they care about is Mardi Gras and the Senior Bowl. You have to spend money to make money other towns seem to do it.
