Since the group’s early days, Drivin’ N’ Cryin’ has made Mobile one of its favorite stops. Over 20 years ago, this group formed in the midst of a great Southern rock revival that began in the mid-1980s and rolled steadily into the ‘90s. Formed in Atlanta, Georgia, Drivin’ N’ Cryin’ expertly crafted a musical style that mixed an edgy style of rock with Southern alternative overtones. Its musical concoction and electrifying live show allowed Drivin’ N’ Cryin’ to quickly develop a nationwide cult following that still maintains its allegiance.

In its early days, Drivin’ N’ Cryin’ won over crowds with timeless favorites such as “Straight to Hell” and “Honeysuckle Blue.” However, the band got its first taste of commercial success with the release of “Fly Me Courageous.” The album’s title track and the single “Build a Fire” secured a mainstream audience for the band. As the new millennium passed, the band treated fans to new material as well as sporadic tours. Its latest offering is a recent “Best Of” vinyl that includes crowd favorites.
