Mayor Sandy Stimpson will host a retreat for the Mobile City Council on Friday, beginning at 7:45 am at Camp Grace in Mobile.

“I am looking forward for this opportunity to strengthen my relationship with every single member on the city council,” Stimpson said. “My hope is that we will walk away united in our common vision to move Mobile forward.”

The retreat is scheduled to include presentations by Andy Andrews, New York Times bestselling author; Dianne Irby, Executive Director of Planning and Development for the City of Mobile, and Stimpson.

Irby will deliver details on Mobile’s long-range plan and Stimpson will give a presentation on his administration’s strategic framework.

“I cannot emphasize enough the importance of long range planning,” Stimpson said. “I believe the City Council also understands the wisdom behind it, and we can work together to make our plans a reality.”
