Mayor Sandy Stimpson welcomed all of the Senior Bowl players, along with their families, fans and future employers from the National Football League, to the City of Mobile.
“The Senior Bowl is a proud tradition in Mobile,” Stimpson said. “It is our privilege to host talented players from all across the country. This year marks the 65th anniversary of the bowl and the 64th year in Mobile. Walter Payton, Dan Marino and Brett Favre have all competed in Ladd-Peebles Stadium and I hope every player strives to play up to their caliber.”
Stimpson is scheduled to attend Saturday’s game, with kickoff scheduled for 3 p.m.
