School officials have confirmed that a Vigor High School student was shot on campus after classes dismissed Tuesday afternoon by another juvenile police in Prichard are continuing to look for.
The student is said to have been shot in the school’s parking lot around 3:45 p.m. According to Rena Philips, a spokesperson with the Mobile County Public School System, the victim was shot in the abdomen, but has been transported to the hospital and is said to be in stable condition.
While the identity of the suspect has not been released, school officials have confirmed it was another juvenile who was not a student at Vigor High School. Prichard Police are continuing to investigate the shooting and have reported they have “an idea” of who they’re looking for.
