Country star Billy Currington made his presence known in the country world with his 2003 self-titled debut. With popular songs like “Walk Straighter” and “I Got a Feelin’,” Currington was an instant hit on country radio. Since then, he’s been giving his fans a steady release of new music replete with hit singles.
Currington is bringing his “Summer Forever Tour” to Biloxi’s IP Casino, Resort & Spa, with a batch of new material from the tour’s namesake album.
Producer Dann Huff (Faith Hill, Rascal Flatts) helped guide Currington through the album’s creation process. Judging from the album’s initial single, “Don’t It,” Currington’s work with Huff was not in vain. “Don’t It” quickly rose up the charts to the number one position. Layers of rhythm help make this song memorable. The upbeat drum cadence pairs well with Currington’s catchy rhythmic flow. The balance of the album reflects the mainstream style that has made him a notable in modern country.
