Robert Dunnam, 16, on two separate charges of first-degree sodomy. According to police, the arrest occurred after Dunnam “sexually assaulted two juvenile females.”

Normally as a minor, Dunnam would be tried in juvenile court and his identity would not be released to the public. However, due to “his history of sexually abusing other children,” Mobile County District Attorney Ashley Rich’s Office has authorized Dunnam to be charged as an adult.

No information is available on what — if any — previous charges Dunnam may have faced in Mobile County because of his status as a minor. Dunnam was booked into the Mobile County Metro Jail on Thursday, where he remains in custody.
