The Eastern Shore Lions Clubs 10th Annual Golf Tournament for Sight and Diabetes is set for Sunday, Oct. 2 at Quail Creek Golf Course in Fairhope. This tournament will include the Fairhope Lions Club and Daphne Lions Club. The event kicks off at 12 noon with lunch provided and 1 p.m. shotgun start. Come join us for a fun afternoon of great golf followed by silent auction. Sponsorship and contributions range from door prizes to $3,000 and are tax deductible. A putting contest, vacation trips, door prizes and silent auction items will also be available.
Thanks to our generous sponsors last year, we raised enough money to send local children to Diabetic Camp at Camp Sugar Falls in Mobile. We were also able to provide eye exams and glasses to many individuals in need. We also contribute to the Alabama Reading Program for the Blind and other local charities.
Chartered in 1963, the Fairhope Lions Club and Daphne Lions Club serves the communities of Fairhope, Montrose, Daphne and Spanish Fort and has played an important role in providing support to local and state charities. The club welcomes new members and guest to join them at upcoming meetings on the second and fourth Monday of the month, 6 p.m., at The Brennity, 50 Spring Run Drive, Fairhope.
