While many Mobilians may celebrate America’s independence at the beach, there are still options for those who choose to stick around town. Before the barbecues and fireworks begin, The Listening Room is offering an intimate, relaxing evening of musical entertainment. This venue has quickly built a local reputation for providing a pristine listening environment and bringing a diverse lineup of performers to its stage.
Friday, July 3 at 8 p.m., Jordy Searcy will showcase his vocal skills on The Listening Room’s stage. This Alabama native’s appearance on NBC’s “The Voice” pushed him into the national spotlight. Searcy’s duet with Taylor Phelan on the show received more than one million views and vastly expanded his fan base. Since ‘The Voice,” Searcy has been recording his newest EP with Nashville producer Brent Milligan, known for his work with the Backstreet Boys and TobyMac. As always, The Listening Room will provide an intermission/meet and greet.
