Theatre Guild brings Broadway to Midtown

Posted by Kevin Lee | Jun 11, 2014 | Art Gallery | 0 |

This spoof of the most famous musicals to hit the Great White Way premiered in January of 1982 and hasn’t slowed down since. Author Gerard Alessandrini has modified through the decades to include the latest blockbusters.

The four-person production takes loving swipes at “The Phantom of the Opera,” “Wicked,” “Les Misérables,” “The Lion King,” “Spamalot,” “Annie,” “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark” and “Rent,” among others.

Showtimes are 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Sunday matinees are at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $20, $15 for senior citizens, military and students.

For more info, call 251-433-7513 or go to www.mobiletheatreguild.org.
