Callaghan’s is giving the Azalea City a great excuse to start the weekend early. Chris Porter boasts experience with bands such as Some Dark Holler and The Back Row Baptists. Over the past year, his fans have been enjoying the sounds of “The Red Mountain,” a release with an interesting mix of twang, acoustic folk and alt. rock. “The Red Mountain” demonstrates how Porter injects his music with a fervor, both lyrically and musically.
Susto was one of several standouts at SouthSounds 2016, and many locals have anticipated the next live performance from this South Carolina band. Last month, Susto released the six-track album “Audiotree Live.” This release maintains the earthy style of Americana rock that continues to pull listeners to Susto. With an upcoming tour with The Lumineers drawing closer, locals will want to take advantage of the opportunity to witness Susto in an intimate setting.
