Small things can make a big impact – look at Toulouse-Lautrec – and nowhere is that more evident than in the Spanish Moss Miniature Art Show presented by the Alabama Miniature Art Society. None of the works are larger than 5 inches, with many of them coming in at half that measure.
The panoply of paintings, etchings, drawings and lithos hail from 11 states and include three international entries. The top three prize winners were from Washington (think apples, not politics), Wisconsin and California. Other prize winners include Alabamians Ainsley McNeely, Joanne Brandt and Daphne Larsen.
The show is only on display for a couple more weeks so if it tickles your fancy, you best get there, post-haste. You can call the gallery at 251-460-2539 for more information.
